you have to upload your pictures to a website and then do insert URL location of file and you should be done.
nice early mesh by the way. Going to add Boba in there?
05-28-2007, 01:52 PM
Thanks maje3D! About Boba - itīs time dependent. Donīt have much of it right now, but i wanted to join the challenge because itīs STAR WARS!!
05-28-2007, 07:15 PM
So thatīs it for today. Hope you like it.
05-29-2007, 07:22 PM
looks amazing already:thumbsup:

You'll notice when you attach an image it gives you that extra code at the bottom for an attachment. Paste that into your post and it adds the pic to your message.

looks great nice choice

i had to rebuild the mainbody because before the cockpit-window was made with a boolean operation. Quick way but the mesh sucked. Now i have a clean Mesh. Ready for UV mapping and easy to manipulate!

nice updates, the power this in details, :bounce:
05-31-2007, 02:15 PM
Thats really nice, mate. Keep it going!:)
05-31-2007, 08:11 PM
Im liking it, if I ever finish my Jango, you can have the mesh to use with this....
05-31-2007, 10:25 PM
Great work and awesome detail work! yeah and I know what you mean with booleans. I've come unstuck a few times by stuffing up nice meshes with boolean ops.
05-31-2007, 10:48 PM
Thanx for the replies!
Another update! I started on the detaills and tweaked the main body. Here is a render with a little Ambient Occlusion.

good job your ship is amazing, want to see more!
It's very cool to see your WIP. It's very strange for me to see you start with a full low-detailed model, and just add more and more detail. It's looking better and better everytime.
06-01-2007, 04:30 PM
Im loving this entry, as at first glance it looks like a basic model, and the more you look, the more detail you have put in so good sork so far.
Keep up the good work buddy.

Another update! Modeled some interior some details here and there and made some rendering tests

Very promising indeed. Are you going for a AOTC or ESB Slave 1? Keep in mind the weathering on the ESB, if thats what you are going for.:)
06-02-2007, 10:45 AM
It is indeed a very nice piece of work so far ....
06-03-2007, 12:23 AM
thats looking soooo good! real nice indeed.
06-03-2007, 02:15 PM
really nice works!!It's very cool to see your WIP.
06-03-2007, 07:19 PM
Hi again! Thanx for the kind words! So i tweaked the wings, now they arenīt so plumpy anymore. And obviously i started texturing. Now itīs clear that i wanted to model the old (the new?) Slave 1 from Episode 5. Iīm not finished with the model but i liked to texture on this point. The main body is ok i think. The textures are not finished, yet! Itīs just a starting point. So good luck to anybody furthermore! This challenge is really a great experience!

Got some problems with my external Webspace. So my updates couldnīt been seen. Sorry for that!
06-05-2007, 07:53 AM
Ah, thats better! It aint Fett's ship without the weathering...
06-06-2007, 08:18 AM
nice start on the texturing its looking great :)
06-06-2007, 09:12 AM
WOW! looking bloody awesome. Especially the textures so far.
Can almost visualise Han being loaded on in his carbonite slab

Thanx for the replies!
i modeled one kaminoian fur fun in zbrush with zspheres! So i donīt have any process pictures right now, sorry, but i really modeled from scratch!
i would like to integrate that guy in to my scene wich isnīt really a "scene" right now.
The problem is i started to texture the "old" Boba Fett Slave 1 style. I could start again and make a "new" Slave 1, the one from Jango. i think i have this posibilities for a scene:
1: Classical Slave 1, maybe in the Cloudcity
2: Jango Fett escapes Obi Wan from Tipoca City (The Cloner Laboratory)/ Maybe with Kaminoians looking Jango flies away?
3: The fight between Jango and Obi in the meteorits field.
4:Kaminoians looking somehow into the future. With a kind of machine, maybe. They see the Slave 1.
What do you think?
06-06-2007, 02:13 PM
There is some issues with idea #4...
1) Its a little far-fetched.
2) The Slave 1 appears to be your main piece for the scene, but if you have Kaminos looking into a device, they insted will become the focus of your piece. The Slave 1 will appear small...
...saying that though, I would go for #2. View the scene from one of the towers in the Kamino city, with Obi Wan getting attacked by the main cannons of the Slave 1(operated by Boba). Jango is most likely sitting up after recovering and sees his chance. The Kaminoians in the tower are most likely in panic like Dick Jones phoning for assistance as the battle rages between Robocop and ED-209: "THERE'S TROUBLE IN THIS TOWER!!!".
Just a suggestion, of course, I can see this piece being really great. You already have the Slave 1 and a Kaminoian models, just need an Obi-Wan and Jango - who will be seen at a distance...:deal:

your ship looks so good i love it...
to join "boon" i think he have reason, your ship will appear in 2nd plane if you put kaminos in your scene...

Hi again and thank you for the kind words! itīs been a while that i post a new update so here it is! I started to think about a scene for my SLave1! i think the scene where Jango Fett and Obi Wan have their fight on the kaminoian?!?landing platform is quit cool. I try to capture the moment right after Obi Wan throwing this emitter on Jangos ship. So i discard my ideas with the Kaminoians, (for time reasons too). They find their place in the background coming out of the Kamino building.
Compositionwise iīm not that sure. C&C welcome!
Good luck to everybody again! Time is running!
06-30-2007, 10:41 AM
Love it, looks very realistic.
07-01-2007, 11:30 AM
Tried to find a good camera view for a nice composition and found out, that a vertical image is the better choice for a flying Slave1. What do you think?

07-02-2007, 09:15 AM
I take it that its finished then. Good work man.
07-02-2007, 09:29 AM
Thanx! But itīs not finished yet. I want to work further on the texture of the slave! And on the lighting. Right now th bg looks more realistic then the ship on the front. i think that i also need a little more depth. It looks a little flat right now.
07-02-2007, 10:16 AM
Just out of curiosity, what software are you usng? :)
07-02-2007, 11:17 AM
I use Maya with Mental Ray.
07-03-2007, 06:46 PM
Did some little modeling changes. But my biggest Problem is the lighting. I want to get this really rainy mood. What do you think?
07-11-2007, 09:43 AM
