The ocean and beaches look so good I'm constantly looking for what might be live footage composited with the animation.

I'm not feeling it for this flick. I'm supposed to be interested in a generic looking penquin that wants go surfing??

It looks okay and it's cleverly animated, but the story....I don't know...

Ditto.

I mean, there are, like, what, a couple of dozens of surfers in the world, the rest simply don't care. They just happen to hang around the same are as film executives, so they get this idea that the rest of the world actually cares about surfing... or something. I dunno ;)

" I mean, there are, like, what, a couple of dozens of surfers in the world, the rest simply don't care."

There aren't many super hero's in the world from what I can tell either but I quite enjoyed the Increadibles as I'm sure "the rest" did.

That's a faulty analogy. It would've stuck if he had said this picture would only please penguins. The Incredibles is more about being yourself and living up to your abilities. Marital strife is something recognizable for an audience. I don't think I can root for penguin that wants to go surfing. If this film is about chasing your dreams then there are far better ways to tell that story. So far, the trailers have given me nothing that makes it worth going to the cinema for. Just my opinion though...
