View Full Version : Issue with rolled-up paper deformation.
AOliver 05-26-2007, 11:46 AM I got a mesh deformed to look like aged paper, but I'm not able to roll-up some corners. Tried selecting those parts I want to roll-up and deform by curve, but results aren't satisfactory to say something. This is the paper:

Any suggestion?

there are many ways to do this.
Have a look at the making a weightmap to 'blend' whatever deforms you choose into the undeformed paper.
1. deform > bend would be the most obvious choice
2. deform > by spine could work with a curve
3. deform > envelope with a skeleton chain
4. tag some corner points and in edit> proportional set up adjust the falloff, then simply rotate the tagged points

Thank you Tekano, I was missing something important about deformations. Using weight maps to control them wasn't new at all to me, but only tried it with push deformation. I should be able to do that now using some of those methods.
