Per-Anders 03-16-2003, 10:31 AM just playing around and started modelling this silly over the top scooter for fun tonite, this is just a paint texture test, but i thought it made quite a nice little image, might use it as a base model in another tutorial

ah, just playing around a litle bit more this evening, i wasn't planning on doing a tutorial on making the bike (sorry if i got your hopes up on that), the bike might be used as the model that i do certain things to in a tutorial that's all.
still plenty of work to be done on this before it's useable, but it's kinda fun... still gotta work out where to hang teh fluffy dice...

yup kitched probe :D
now to choose the paint (by the way this is all image based illumination so getting metallic was quite a pain in the ass!) what do you guys think?

metallic ;)
the metalic is slightly better than original but magic paint would look nice in a aniamtion.
How did you get that effect Fresnal?

Looks cool! I prefer the original paint, but I'd like to see something midway between that and the metallic.

thanks, glad you like it, just adding a few more things, gotta work out some funky exhaust system, i like squids idea of a rocked exhaust for this litttle baby. i'll think about how i'll design that as i do the forks, kickstand and a few other bits and peices....

Correct me if im wrong mdme_sadie, but that reflection looks like the inside of a house. You wouldnt leave your scooter in the living room, ripping up the carpet would you ? :D
I think thats a fantastic Model there. :applause:
i couldn't see any inicators. i was wondering if you were gonna put them on or not.
And i think an elephant or hippo should be riding the Scooter :)

just playing around adding a little bit more after work, lots still to do, and lots to texture, improvements to the paint job here, and me playinga round with seeing how a brushed aluminium texture behaves in hdri, the yellow light is just a placer at the moment

This totally rocks! (Still want a tutorial :) )
How did you do the wheel wells, I was think of a torus and deleting half of it.
Now on to the rider. Love to see what you can cook up for the driver.
maybe you could use pyro for flame coming out the back. of course if remember right you dont like pyro but its a possiblity. that has got to be the best scooter i have seen done with C4D (only one actually).

now that is a bike that I like. It has a lot of character. I see either a very big or very thin person commandeering this transport device. Very good job.

Excellent! The combination of tooniness and photorealism is really working. Would love to see a bigger render.
