I have memories from my last visit to the land. How an old Palestinian woman, cupped my daughter’s face in her hands and kissed her and praised her beauty. I remember the way you would all gather on the streets, cooking and sharing. I wanted to go hang out where they band, and my sis said.... you can't. It's not safe for a jew to pass through.
I love the sounds of the prayers they say in the afternoon. I even captured it on film. When my sister asked what I was taping, she looked perplexed. Why would I want to hear the prayers of a Muslim?
Because they are as beautiful as when our Cantors sing
Because their geometry is in harmony, and it carries praise and healing.
And they shouldn’t have to suffer the same reality my folks did.
I can’t handle all the death in your lands.
It’s abuse of beauty, for selfish gain
At the expense of life through manipulation of the brain.
The war is over, because humanity will no longer, be duped by the horror, of the occult disorder.
Once again we will hear the voice of peace beaming from the middle of the Mediterranean, and nothing will deter us from finding peace again, without the violence that has tried to shatter our united sands.
Our heritage is not volence but the beauty of the songs of brilliant men.
