Your reel is very nice. The lighting and modeling is amazing and your animation is ok.
How much of your work was done in Vue and what are you aiming for?

Thanks for your reply. The only thing done in Vue is the landscape behind the lion creature. I'm kind of a generalist for now. My character animation definently needs some work though.

This was a fun watch! unlike most "generalist" reels, yours has a very nice continuity to it given by the goofy bandit&old lady scenes. You have a reel with a story!

That's an impressive reel, I loved the camera work with the car racing (I don't know if
you did it on purpose but it looks like toy car racing because of the dof and fast camera
movement), it looks amazing. Modeling and rendering show nice skills, the character
animation is nice (maybe it needs to be smoother).
Great job

MistaT: They do kind of look like toy cars, I was not thinking of that specifically, but I was going for a more stylistic feel, thanks for responding. I will work on the character animation.
Asa_Movshovitz: Most of it is rendered with Vray, like the car race, but some elements were rendered with finalrender. Thanks for commenting.

Very nice, I liked it. I agree the car scenes have a little RC toy car feel, I think mostly due to their light weight feel and their speed, but they're good. I would have liked to see a little more of your Lion character, perhaps of him jumping into the air and taking to flight?

Really nice generalist reel:thumbsup: tips on animation, give the characters more expression, they have motive but show it more in the face. It might be cool if the old lady turned her head once in a while, she might have that feeling that people get when they're being followed. For the cars they really need suppension to give it more of a weighted feel. Love the expression on the lion thing with the wind blowing on his face, and great camera work throughout.:)
