Title: Robotica: Niko
Name: Jason Felix
Country: United States
Software: Photo-Paint, Photoshop

Hey,

Finally made some time to create this pin-up for the comic book titled Robotica. I promised Alex Sheikman (wrote& illustrated the book) that I would create something for him and took the chance to try a different approach. Always trying to push myself.

I like the expressive strokes and the piece is quite dynamic! The legs are a bit of a let-down when compared with the power expressed in the upper part of the body, but aside that, it looks quite strong!

Hi. Really cool pict.
the pose is great, colours too. A lot to say in the "positive" row.

Minor thing tho, the background is really sharp is some places, which is not the case of the character. Obviously, this can be because of the action itself ;) Still, a bit of sharpness on the arm for exemple, could be fine.
Just to nitpick a bit. that's what people do, right?
take care.

hasansgrafix---> The concept behind this piece is this: Niko is a cybernetic hitman taking down android outlaws. Above him are gears that are flying by which are blured.... kinda hard to read that. It's definintely a different style for me, but found that book publishers like it because of the motion/energy.

RicoD---> I battled with the legs for awhile. Had his legs up(as if he was jumping and legs tucked underneath him), then tried with one leg extended(as if he was running), and the final. All in all I hoped to achieve some sort of magestic feel to the body pose.

e338---> Yeah, that is a valid point! Strangly I did play with blurring out the background OR varied stages of being blurred. Maybe I turned off that layer before saying... gotta check now. Thanks!
