Title: Roman Senator
Name: emiliano calisti
Country: Italy
Software: XSI
The picture shows a "just-elected" roman senator and his pose/expression is intented to show him like not a good kind of person: a bad politician.
To show that he's a bad and corrupted man I figured out his expression like thin eyes/big smile.
Done with Modo, Mudbox and XSI.
I hope you like it.

Very good work there! He does have the corrupt characteristics. Modeled very good. The render does justice to your texturing as well!
Overall it has a sinister feel! Like it!

Here's a little and short animation (20 frames) about his expression morphing (http://www.twistedMoon.it/img/3d/romansenator/senator.mov)
And here there's a sort of blog about the process creation (http://www.twistedMoon.it/3d_gallery/3d_romansenator.htm)

lol ! more Nixon than Reagan :)
the character is purely based on my imagination of course.
@ markonens
The image was rendered in XSI 6, Mental Ray 3.5, and the skin shader is the XSI's SSS shader.

very nice image, great mood, just a little bit of crit, the light seems too stroing on his right face side, its actually washing out a little detail, i thik u can lower it down, and also the goldi thing on his chest can be a little more reflective, try using hdri's , other wise great work man
