Hi
I'm trying to change the plate of a car as it runs.
I'm going to track motion as the car moves away from the camera
In the attachment, you see a car. This is not the car we're using tho I just googled it, i must say.
But if you wanted to track motion of this car as it runs away from camera(straight on Z axis?)
I guess I must track scale as well? since the plate will get smaller right?

If so, where should I put the trackers? I know I get 2 trackers but I barely ever done any rotation/scale tracking so I seek help.

Thank you everyone!

the easiest would be the corners of the license plate.

I've made lots of video tutorials on tracking. Some of these also involve roto, but just pay attention to the tracking portions. I show basic tracking, track averaging, tracking scale and rotation, and tracking four points and linking mask points to the tracks.

if you can track all 4 corners, you can track it and roto it with the same data!

any questions, please ask! :)

Hey hype
LOL I saw every single tuts of yours.
Im gonna follow the tut on using the script that copies tracking data to mask so that it articulates over time?
My question is that the plate needs to get smaller as the car gets farther from the camera...
So i'm gonna check the scale section when i do tracking but
Where do i put the tracker number 2??

Thanks

put on tracker on the top left corner, and the other on the bottom right corner.
that should work fine, if its reallt as straightforward as you say it is. :)
