Here is a 3D model of Kaneda's futuristic bike, based on the designs from Akira, by Katsuhiro Otomo. This version has the stickers as well as some wear-and-tear in the texturing. Akira has always been a major artistic influence - the fact that Otomo's designs from over two decades ago still looks cutting edge is a testament to his vision and great designs.

The modeling was done in 3D Studio Max 8, the texturing was done in Adobe Photoshop 6 and the lighting was done in VRay 1.4.

I love Akira too :thumbsup: I think you did a really great job, nice dirty texturing,
is it possible to have some other view? I love this bike :scream:

Very nice image Liem. I like a lot the design, also Akira´s designs. In this case I would try to add some specular to the glass cabin, and in small parts of the seat. Although the seat is very used, there should be some parts that are not so used, and in those the specular could help a lot. I also find the sticker of the star a little plain, maybe some shadows following the shape of the bike could help.

Anyway it´s a really great design, congrats.

hey man, very nice render, could do a more with light, if you put some hdri for the reflection the bike seems to have no reflection at all.

I love akira too, such and old movie, I like the bike (a bit dirty to me), and I like the environment, specially the bridges...take it to the carwash:)

I would have liked to see a little more reflectiveness on the bike, but all in all it looks great! Kinada!....Tetsuo! I'm not Akira!

I like the Bike. I also had a look at your new version. With respect to texturing you should try out a couple of layers. Start out with your base coat of paint and texture over dirt, scratches, normal wear and tear. It looks a little busy and almost like somone painted the bike with texture brushes. Your splash marks again make sure they streak where it would make sense. Good work. Love the model!
