Hi everyone!
In my scene there are a lot of polygon object that has the same name followed by a number (pTorus01, pTorus02...), the problem is that these objects are distributed under other objects (parented) in a caothic way.. and its quite terious for me select all of them form the outliner (and from the editor view too, 'cause they are a lot)

There's a way to select an object using its name prefix?
I'd like to select all object that inside their name there are the character "pTorus".

Thanks a lot.

P.s. Sorry for my english :)

yep, easy..

you can type this in as a command or in the selection box (its in the same row as your selection filters, snapping button, render button, etc. its on the right side its the only text box next to "sel" with a little arrow pointing down)

but here is the command.. you just type in a wild card "*"...

select "pTorus*"

The above will select anything that begins with "pTorus" or in the selection box I mentioned you just type "pTorus*"
