View Full Version : Frustrating Indirect Skinning Problem

hi everybody,
HELP ME PLEASE!! I AM STUCK!!!

i have applied a lattice deformer to some cvs of my character(say cv 1 to 10)
and i have smooth skinned the lattice to my skeleton.

Now when i try to smooth skin the remaining cvs (say cv 11 to 20) directly to the skeleton, maya gives the following error.

ERROR: SKIN CLUSTER DOES NOT DEFORM THE SELECTED COMPONENTS.

I am totally clueless what to do.Pleaaaaaaaaaaaase somebody help me!

try it the other way round. Skin the verts to the joints, then add the remain to a lattice and bind it to the joints . it works.
