THIS HAS MUCH MORE TO BE DONE, BUT I FIGURED I COULD GET SOME SUGGESTIONS ON THE DETAILING SUCH AS MAYBE CHROME OR THE LIGHTING.

Hard to say much. Don't really know how one of those things should look like.

As for doing chrome... Most of the secret is in the reflections, as with all reflective materials. So a nice environment and some white planes for highlights is a good start.

Post some more renders, preferrably in better quality than the current, which is a bit washed out - makes it hard to judge.

Oh yeah - and hit your Caps Lock button once :argh:

Looking good so far, I am a tattoo artist and the only thing that looks a little out of dimention are the Coils, They look a hair to big.

thank you, i thought they were pretty good size but your right. i did this model without a physical model and when it was done i pulled out my machine, mine has sharp edges like daggers on the frame so i didnt model from it, but the coils- are kinda big. i also noticed myself at a closer look that i did not round the peg on the armeture bar, also forgot rubberbands. ill repost soon

I use Spaulding-Rogers myself. I've been thinking of modeling a couple myself but my Main computer crashed and don't have any thing ( Program wise ) to model with. Also the other thing I noticed is that there was no nurl texture on the needle tube. but I'm sure you'll correct that. All in All like I said before It still looks great. And I'm sure that we are probably the only ones who would notice detail like that. Can't wait to see the finished product..

I'm Freelance. Theres already 3 Shops in Auburn,NY where I live and I basicaly work out of my house. I realy enjoy the art of Tattooing and would love to open up a shop but I work as a machinist and don't realy have the capital to back me for opening a shop. On the Machines them selves I do agree they are light and I do think they could use a stronger coil. I stick to doing smaller pieces of work because of the time limitations I have doing from my house and there are certain areas that I'm not proficient in doing (like wraps and single needle fine detail) I've had to teach my self the art and I do think that that was a hinderance, I also don't think That their powers supply is the greatest ( To big and bulky also ac ripple which is'nt good for the machines ) I've been looking at replaceing them but not sure what brand to go with. I was thinking about Superior's machines. Whats your opinion ? Oh Also my wife is a regular artist who has been doing custom flash for me. She realy enjoys seeing her work on someone else.

Also what Program are you using to model with. I've been using wings3d, Maya PLE, Truespace3.2( which I own) and 3D Max and Lightwave3D which ( Which I don't own and is on A friends Computer but he lets me use them when he and his wife go on business trips.) I realy like ligth wave and hope to buy that one in the near future.

Thanks for the reply.

John

Cool on your wife doing body piercing. Well that settles it, as soon as I get some extra cash I'll get myself a superior p/s.

I forgot to say that I also have Paint Shop Pro. Which I Like. (Can't afford Photo Shop ) But it does just as well I think.

Well I won't take up any more of your time. Thanks for all the replies and have a great time Modeling.

John.
