Hi guys, looks like I'll be spending a great deal of my time getting to know Zbrush 3 better and unlearning Zbrush 2 so I thought I'd post some of the fun I'm having here...

This is Luigi, he came from a head that ships with the app
http://www.mack3d.com/z3/luigi.jpg

This is Gloria, she started as a Zsphere model

A turntable showing here Zsphere generated lowpoly mesh is here (http://www.mack3d.com/z3/Gloriaturntable.mov)

This is ray, I was just testing out some bumpy skin tek

And this is a little fun with mesh extract

C+C appreciated and I'm here to share so I'll post some scripts and stuff in here too... feel free to ask anything about how these creations come to be;)

great stuff
I love the mesh extraction sphere and the skin on ray.
how did you do some of the train? do you have a tablet PC? and if so what are its specs and how do you find it?
I might start a thread like this, just to help motivate me to do daily sculpts.
keep it up :)

Layer 01.. Thanks mate, the app has definitely eaten a chunk o my synapses and :D I've been using a tablet pc for a little over a year now, it's my home away from home... Specs are acer c312xmi, 2gb, 1.8ghz, geforce go6200, 14inch emr lcd 1024x 768 with 512 levels and it frikkin slays... I compromised some power for the pen and it's like an exension of me...
I bought it ex demo 2 years ago from these guys (http://stores.ebay.com.au/REFURBYTE)and have burnt out 2 mobos in it since (buy the extended warranty:P )

Feel free to pm me if you want further info

cresshead.. :D Thanks

AUMAKUA.. Cheers, I was just thinking yesterday of real world uses for this app and RP was one of the first... not to self, must get some of my meshes made...

Here's a 5 minute lunchbreak job

http://www.mack3d.com/z3/sluggo2.jpg

and the timelapse (http://www.mack3d.com/z3/sluggo.mov)

I'm finding the speed at which this app allows the artist to just pwop! something out without any forethought is immense

Daddymack, how are you doing the time lapses?
I'm using my magic powers... How else?

Seriously there's a movie menu along the top bar with a cool little timelapse function... it's all pretty straightforward to use just click and go, stop when you're done and save

Good luck;)

Those are awesome MacK. I just got zbrush this year and am starting to learn right now. So I may have some questions for you at some point. Too bad I am a Mac user plugging along on v2. That red shader in v3 looks great eh?
