Hi everyone! This is a Day For Night matte i did some time ago. It is a place from Menorca (Spain). Though i have never been there, i wanted to give it a night ambient, just the way i imagine it. Hope you like. ;)

Hey Carlos, this is great :D
I really enjoy the bloom light you have going on around the hotel sign. I am currently trying to get that effect on a matte I am crrently working on. Any tips?!!?
Keep it up man
Hi, nice work... just one detail with the lights on the yachts. When you anchoring outside of harbour, you have to put anchoring light on, and it's the light on the top of the mast, not the light in the middle - it's running light (when u run the motor in the night).... it's really just a detail, but i just want to mention it (to get the realism to the painting)....any way, gut job on the makeover .
Have a nice day.

Hi! I am glad you to like it.
Well, that kind of bloom, i do it just painting across the zone you want, using a new layer.
Then, applying a gaussian blur to it, a strong strong blur. Play with opacity to get the look you need.
If the glow is over a word, or letters, is better duplicate the text layer, and apply blur to that, instead of paint. Just play with that kind of things, and sure you will get what you need. Hope it is useful for you. ;)

Really i did not know that, it is good to know it. Anyway, the boat lights, were put more thinking of esthetic reasons than reality reasons, cause i am not familiar with ship matters.
But i take on account. ;)

This is great! I have been to Menorca, and I can tell you that it brings back memories for me, so you did a great job there! I love walking by the harbour with the beautiful yachts with all the lights on. Making me feel really nostalgic... I need a holiday!
