Hi, what strikes me first: he walks very fast. therefor his body should get more tension. the way his arms and head jiggle is too loosely. his left leg rackes to much in front. he´s a big belly. while his legs start moving forward you may aim his knees slightly outward insteed of quashing the belly away. I mean to give the belly more resistance - you know?

Thank you. I see what you mean about the belly needing to get in the way more and therefore the legs having to move round it instead of easily lifting up the belly's mass so easily.

I will make a slower cycle and see if the arms and head match better.

Cheers

Hey Scarabrae,

He really is a pretty big guy! I think with the weight of his body, he would stay in the 'squashed' position a little longer. Right now he recovers from the weight put on each step pretty quickly. I'd keep the hips lower for an extra frame so it looks he has to exert more energy to lift himself up and his gut kinda lags behind his legs.

I'm agree with the walking speed

Another thing that I saw was his arms. After the body bounce You must focus on how the arms swing, like a pendulum. In your test animaton you do a bounce but it doesn't see the result of the body bounce on his arms.. looks mechanical.

It's the same with his head. the bounce of the head doesn't have a good secondary action because it looks like the head it doesn't take part of the mechanical movement of the body

I hope it helps :)

Relio, Dupinet...

Hey, excellent feedback. I would not have picked up on what you both observe at this moment in time. I'l' chew this over and think it all through to come to a better understanding.

There seems to be layers of ever increasing finesse in animation...loads to stride for! :)

Cheers
