When I paint wheights on my polygonal geometry, I make everything black, then I paint white spots, then I smooth flood, great! but why is there white spots in areas I never ever touched, then when I move the cluster just so ever slightly, the area with the new white spots go haywire, moving infinitely far. I try to replace the values by repainting them on that strange area, nothing happens, it stays white. I'm using maya 3.0 but this never happened to me before and I've been using maya for many years.
does anyone know about this problem?
