Title: Don't Feed the Plant
Name: Alberto Lozano
Country: España
Software: 3ds max, Modo, Photoshop

"Don't feed the plant", this is my latest work. For this little piece i did a small funny plant, maybe result of laboratory experiments. I did all the work in modo and the textures with photoshop. Max were used only for the rig. Comments and Critics are wellcome.

Hey great plant :scream: reminds me those in Jayce, nice render
(only the shape of the glass behind is anoying me a little bit)
This plant surely knows how to draw! :D

This is very nice.
A point of critique might be, that the material of the lower plant parts looks somehow too much like plastic.

I totally love the plant trunk's and head's material.

Leaves are a bit artificial, though, IMHO.

Great Job! I love the bump maps on the jaw muscles and the stretchy part of the back jaw. The character definitely is captivating to look at. Makes you use your imagination on it's personality.

just wanted to extend my compliments. very nice work. and not sure if everyone who is commenting on the "glass" understands that it is in actuality a beaker, thus the spout. anyways, i also like the mats, gives it a very nice feel. keep it up.

Feed me Semour! I love the tie back to Little Shop of Horrors - nice work and I feel the life in it even though it has that cartoonish edge. Excellent. Now rig an animate would be fun to see it snapping at the camera like a snake shot from Discovery channel that got too close. Congrats!

Cheers!

nice work. I agree with the statements about material realism. For me the straw is more distracting than the glass material.

Sweet rendering though!

Great image... brought back such memories as I work on the movie.

My only crit would be that the texture of the plant may benifit from some variation in texture?

wow, so much better, than my attempt at something similair. I mean i'm speachless, it just is absolutely awsome.

I agree though with the other guy, the glass does look kinda dodgy (in the background), but it's barely noticable as the plant is so awsome.

New to the forums here. This is an amazing picture. I don't know much about 3d, but can you tell me if this could be done in Zbrush, those other programs aren't exactly affordable.
