I've completed one character animation project, and found the "flabio" character rigging tutorial that comes with R10 useful. I'm looking now to learn more about the process in depth so I can understand why I'm doing somethimg rather than follow a recipe to get a result.

I would prefer recommendations for DVDs or books, I would also be interested in peoples expeiriences of cineversity. At first glance it seems expensive.

Thanks in advance.

I'll keep an eye on this one. I guess there are not so many published resources for C4D Charater Animation.

I think that most of the accomplished Cinema riggers/animators learned most of their stuff by adapting Maya tutorials. Are you looking for anything in particular, e.g., modeling, rigging, animating....?

Thanks for those, I was unaware of the C4D Portal website, I'll check the video tutrials out. I Think I'm going to take your advice and look through some of the old Maya manuals that I've got and transfer my knowledge to C4D. It's a shame there isnt any DVD's around because the "Flabio" Quicktime tutorial was a great introduction, if a bit like following a recipe. I find the DVD tutorials are really great, I just seem to pick things up quicker when I'm watching the cursor do the business.
