Looks cool.
But 32mb is a litle bit much, isn't it?
Some points:
I miss SOUND, fast techno...or heavy metal...dunno :)
The transformation of the lexus looks strange! Have you seen the movie "TAXI" ? There U can see a very cool transformation, a believable transformation ;)
I also have some probs. with the camera moves...I don't realy like them, the cars also move strange...
NO question, the city/street looks very cool! But I miss something...
A tunnel scene would be cool to see the cars betters (bright lights etc.).
Just some ideas.
Cya.

thank you for your comment
i will sure put sounds in it later.
yes, i did saw "TAXI", and yeah, thats real not CG. But I m only doing a CG clip for my real, how care its believable or not. Men in BlackII car's transformation is not believable too.
I will try to fix what u said "strange movement on the car or the camera".
But the tunnel scene, no, i wont do it, i see too many of it and i dont think i gonna do it.
Thankx again for your comment.
;) ;)

Interesting, it does need some music. Some of the camera motions are indeed a bit odd. Everything is so dark and quick you can't really make out much of anything.
The car transform in MIB2 dosn't make you question the ability of the car to transform, but indeed the moving elements are missing. If you watch it frame by frame, it just kinda "pops" open and then then engines scale in out of nowhere. But it happens so fast (30 frames max) you don't have time to look.
In MBI1 they did it in a more "watchable" pose, however the parts were still very simple, it just folded open without much fan fair.
I like the "explode" of the car at the end but it should run for a little bit longer. Most of your fades don't run to completion either...I would check on that.
damn thats cool as hell... make it longer and it will be even better (and of course add some music). What software was used? how long were the render times? What was used for compositing? I am interested in making some car-anims but I am scared of render times heh

Hey that looks really cool. I love the dark lighting, glowing signs and camera angles. Makes for great motion blur to. Cool shot, with the black paint (back view of car). The reflections make it look realistic...

Thank you everybody for their comments and critiques, especially you "Stephen", i always love ppl pointing out stuff from my reel that no one pointed out b4, and everybody do have their own different point of view.
1)yes, music and soundeffect i have it already, but it s not something i can do good, and there s ppl will just mute the sound even i have it on, so how cares i have sound in it.
2)the transformation, well, mayb, yeah, it doesnt make sense or it just pop out of nowhere, but i guess that was only my DREAM car, that only will happen in my dream.
3)the darkness and the quick pace, mayb they are too quick or too dark for some of you, but thats the style i was going for, dark, bcoz its a nite time scene, so all the neon signs can be lighten. The quick pace, i pesonally think its alright since its a car chase, i want to show more speed than cars moving at 10km/h.
I saw your site stephen, you got some cool stuff there, but with all your comment you gave me, i think you would make a good mentor in a school then making models.
Well, its just my point of view
Thankx again for all your comment. :scream:

I used XSI, and compositing i used AfterEffects to do it, the cars, roads and building were separately render, each around 4minutes with a dual2 GHS PC while i was still in school. It took me around 4months in school to finish it.
Thank you for your comments.

Just a quick question.... what method did you use to get teh camer to do to fast and slow movements at the end with the car wireframe. I am trying to do something similar, just wanted to know how you did yours.. thanks.
also if anyone else knows of a good way.. let me know

sorry, i dont know how to explain it to you, but its really simple animation, and play with the f_curves a bit to get it.

XSI rocks!
i agree with the camera movements.... and if i may add one more critique, when the car changes lanes it apears to slide sideways, not drift but slide as if a force was applied laterally, in other words unrealistic, and it would be very cool to pay more attention to the suspension movements, maybe have a shot of the wheel going up and down over high-frequency bumps( bumps you would not see or feel at low speeds but feel like mountains at high speed)
Looking good!
