mabuffaloe 03-14-2003, 06:02 PM ok, I usually use maya, and now I have a project which I'm texturing with max, so I was just wondering where you apply the diffuse map in max? thanks for the help!

You have to use the Raytrace Material type - you will find seperate Colour and Diffuse options there :)

You can also get a similar effect using either the Mix map or the RGB multiply map.

are you asking where you can put a diffuse map to change the diffuse level, like make things brighter, or are you asking where to put the normal diffuse (color) map?
