In AE7 I have do the Keying with "The Foundry Keylight 1.1" plugin. I want keying one text over a jacket of a character from the video footage.
But I should also apply a simple rectangular mask to Keylight effect, because I want restrict the keying to a small portion of the jacket, not for all the frame window.
Therefore I should animate this mask to follow the movement of the character jacket and localize the keying over entire video!

I ask you: is it possible to use AE7 "Motion Tracking" tool and apply the tracked movements to the rectangular mask?
I have see the help guide: it is writed that it is possible to apply tracked movements just to a Layer or to an Effect, not to a Mask!
Alternatively: If it is not possible to apply directly the tracked movements to a mask, is it possible to link the Points of the Rectangular Mask to the Tracking Points ?

Da Script:

http://del.icio.us/escruz/Rotoscope (http://del.icio.us/escruz/Rotoscope)

It was written for Roto, but will attach mask vertices to trackers for any purpose.

It works as good as the track is.

Yes, it is possible to attach tracks to mask points. However, it is limited, obviously, to things you can track.

I've made a few video tutorials on the many, many ways you can use tracking to help you get roto done faster in After Effects.

This one shows you how you can apply tracking data directly to mask points.

This one shows you how to replicate Motor's Planar tracking capabilities in AE.

This one shows all the roto tools in AE, and how you can apply tracking data to a mask as a whole (near the end of the tutorial)

And here's sort of a beginner's 2D tracking example. I also show track averaging in this one.

hope those help!
