View Full Version : Caligari trueSpace 7.5 released
Tibbar 05-13-2007, 03:56 PM It looks like they have some major animation updates, new IK system, physics and keyframe blending, improved V-Ray integration, hair, and new organic modeling tools.

I've been away from trueSpace for awhile (using Max and Maya) but I've always had a soft spot for this software because it was so easy to learn when I was just starting 3D graphics. It now looks like a pretty powerful package.

Same situation here(Max'n'maya man after TrueSpace) and TS7.5 does indeed look good. The re-write they had a while back has done the package alot of good.
It looks better, but the camera system is still slow and annoying as heck to use. When they adjust that, I'll look again at Truespace.

I've been struggling on making a decent Death Star in Blender... but I'm calling it quits and going back to Truespace where I can model it pretty quick.
I wish Truespace had more to offer like Blender... or maybe if Blender's Booleans was as nice as Truespace's.
Any way, even tho I won't quit with Blender just yet (other things like characters to try), I am going back to Truespace.

The two features I like most about TrueSpace is the modelling and import/export options. For example, its one of the few apps that can export Direct X files(without the need of plugins etc).

True and it already could do that in Version 3.0 which is probably ten years old by now.
