View Full Version : Water Simulation
rebolt 05-12-2007, 05:48 PM I have to make a simulation just exactly like this in which there is a car coming through a water and splashing up the water particles. What's the right way to develop it ? With full realism ? I am thinking of making it in Realflow.

depnding on scale and things you could do this with glue and pflow pretty easy

Fluid tools would be useful, but slow for such things. Unfortunately, you're probably going to have to rely on metaballs on the particles to get that low-scale liquid look. You COULD do it with just straight PFlow, but it would be tricky. It would be easiest if the motion was fast.

Actually i was trying this simulation with Realflow but its making my simulation really slow while
emitting particles. I just started working on realflow for this simulation and have no previous experience with realflow before. So what would you guys suggest should i go for Pfflow or realflow for this simulation ?
hey bharat,
i was asked before with same reference image to do this splash.(guess u might be asked to do same by that guy)
what i did is : i used pflow for particles motion and used glu3d's pwrapper plugin to build the fluid mesh. pflow would be better and easy to control than realflow. i might be wrong but that's my opinion.
