Can anybody tell me what the difference between C4D XL 8.001 (early bird) and C4D XL 8.012 is? Are there any sort of developments or are they mostly the same?

Thanks Srek

You'll get it ??

You should of gotten it automaticaly. If you got the EB release, then then sent you the final version with docs.

FYI you will then want to upgrade to 8.1 Many more bug fixes & NEW Features :) Like HDRI and more

Or are you using a "Special" version :(

you should upgrade all the way to 8.1, 8.1 was many enhancements and improvements as well as bug fixes. you can see what they are on maxons site. i find it hard to believe that you wouldn't have upgraded to 8.012 already anyway. if you still ahven't recieved your final 8.012 dics from maxon (whih everyone who had 8.001, the early bird should have) then call up your local sales representative asap and get them to ship it to you.

Why dont they have the update on their site? Im just curious, cause I wasnt one of those who got the early bird, and it just seems easier than shiping tons of extra cds out.

Hi,
every updater is a great amount of work. We skipped that by sending out CDs wich turned out to be cheaper and easier.

I see, I guess this will be my first C4D update ever :). The servers have been almost steadily full, so I can see the advantages of using cds lol, I havent been able to get my update as of yet. But hey, waiting is the funnest part :)
