i've just painted my weights for my character, but i tottallly missed out a few pieces of geometry i had to fix, just some vertex merging and whatnot (yah im forgetful :)) now it's chugging whenever i rotate the bones around cuz of all the history

anyway to clear the history but still keep the same weighting? i dont want to redo them again ;p

i've seen a melscript called fixweights that sposed to fix that, but it doesnt seem to work..

any ideas ? :)

If its a smooth bind, try this:
Duplicate your mesh, fix all the points, delete the history, rebind the mesh back to the skeleton.
SO now you have 2 meshes bound to the same skeleton.
Use the copy weights command to copy weighting from one to the other.
Then delete the old one.

Viola

New mesh, same weighting, no history.
