Can someone make this script? its called ghosting or onion skin (XSI,Maya)

Possibly the MoGraph instance object may do what you want, and set its display parameter to use xray (and to not render). If not that then what you want to do is basically duplicate the object on each frame and add an animation for it's visibility to change on certain frames (this might be possible via call commands, i.e. writing a macro even though current COFFEE doesn't not offer direct support for timeline/keyframe/track control). Failing that you could do this in C++ without too many problems.

Would it be possible to do this without instancing the geometry?
I know this from 3dsmax, as a helper for setting up CA.- it would be nice to have such a funciton, as long as it does not slow the display rate too much

its always going to slow down the display a fair bit. But the idea is less scrubbing needed because you can see the onion skin

The one disadvantage to the instance object (I've used it myself abit) its that its not scrubbing friendly, and it can't see frames ahead only frames behind.
