Hi there,

we recently bought VueXstream and as awesome as it is...I can't figure out the scaling between max and vue.

What I want to do is model an architectural scene up in max, export the landscape object VOB to vue....place the plants and then use xsream to place the scene back into Max ...and render the scene.

So far not much luck as my scales go totally out. Objects also seem to be over exposed when at normal scales.

Othere than that the plugin works pretty cool in Max.

Is there anyone out there that has done this sucessfully.

Please help...thanx

Basiclly I create the scene in cad/max. Then, for instance, I export the grassy areas to obj/3ds
and then import that into Vue. I have not any problems with this workflow.

Mike

Hi there Mike,

What is the scale settings you use in Max and Vue?

I'm ok to export the whole scene into Vue, but when I want to bring portions back into max with XStream my wheels fall off.

Thanx
Hank

Thanx Mike,

I finally figured it out. Problem with me was I was persistent to export as VOB and not 3ds or Obj as you suggested. FOr some reason the VOB's does not keep porportions or coordinates.

Again thanx for pointing me in the right direction.
