I've been working on a texture store in Second Life (http://secondlife.com) for the past month. I initially started working on this business with a partner who no longer has the time to devote to the project.

I don't have enough time to devote to this business alone and unless I can find help I'm going to close the shop.

This is a general request to see if anyone here would be interested in working with my business and in turn making a profit from your hard work. If you would be interested in getting involved in this project as a partner or as a contractor please send me an e-mail with some samples of your work and a brief explanation of your experience. I'll keep information sent by contractors on-hand but I will only contact you once the shop is finished and business has started.

Partners will retain full ownership of textures sold in the store and will be paid at a rate mutually agreed upon by all active partners and on a per-sale basis of each texture bundle. Partners will have access to all sales data and will be paid from their sales every two weeks. A portion of all sales will be withheld to pay for land fees, events, to hire contractors, and to invest back into the business to help it grow.

Please bear in mind that all of these terms are subject to change and will be written into a contract and mutually agreed upon before any sales are made.

Second Life is huge and the profits are very real. There is on average over 1.5 million US$ being spent in Second Life every day (http://secondlife.com/whatis/economy_stats.php). Even if (speculating, of course) the store were to profit one-tenth of one percent that would still be $1,500 a day. There aren't many texture businesses in Second Life but the ones that do exist are very big. It will take hard work for this business to succeed but I believe that with a collaborative effort by many talented artists this will work.

I've been building the shop on a 5,000sq foot floor space loaned to me by my friend. The shop has room for a first floor and a second floor around the perimeter.

Here are some screenshots of what I've built so far

And here is a link to a few samples of textures I've made for the shop.

If anyone is interested in partnering with me or contracting for this business please send me an e-mail at artist(at)3dfolio.com.

Thanks. :)
