Hello,

This is the first segment I have finished for the animation I am working on. I would like to hear comments and criticizm. I would like you know also that I am doing all the work myself, except for the few specialists metioned in the credits. I have been working on this for a long time and I am proud of the result.

The cloth has problems, I know, but it's the best I could do.

All 3d work is done in maya, the textures in photoshop.

(I think you have to right-click and 'save target as')

I would appreciate a mirror if anyone thinks I am worthy of their bandwidth.

Two things I would watch out for:

1)Your legs in parts do wierd quick steps. I would slow them down and try to incorporate the body more into his steps to achieve a sense of weight in the character.

2)I don't know if you were going for this but the crown appears to be floating in his hands.

It's kinda funny, this reminds me allot of those animations for last months FX challenge on CGChallenge.:D

thank you for your reply. I will go back and look at the weight issues you mentioned. The problem with the crown floating in his hands is just that it was very difficult to match the finger animation to the crown; no constraints were used or any tricks, just keyframing. I will work on that as well, since you point out that it was noticeable.

Any one else have comments? do you think it's cool?

Jeff
