More views would be nice. The last pic kinda hurts because you framed it badly. Please post a few angles, maybe a wireframe. I would like to see the whole sword though before and crit...

| look at my previous post...i redid the style of the blade and used brazil to smooth it up in rendering watcha think now?

Kinda looks similar to some of the swords in the Final Fantasy games. The ones that the main character usually uses. I think the simple background is taking away from the look though. Maybe some etchings on the handle would be cool. But you could also do that with textures as well...Simple straight forward design. Lookin good so far.

Brazil isn't a fix, it's a renderer :rolleyes:

hehe! :D

any way, the blade looks a bit thick (both on the edge side, and with wise), and the hole in the blade looks a bit odd and out of place. It would probably compromise the blades strength.

It appears to be a kind of futuristic sword, Darius. It's on the chunky side, but you could make the blade taper from the tip to the hilt and that would help.:thumbsup:
Also, I agree that is does look like a sword out of FF, though I don't think the background is really an issue to worry about at this stage.;)

thx grub...ok i'm resplitting the blade (its all connected right now) anway so i'll add a taper to the blade
