View Full Version : Adding points. c4d8 vs c4d10
David Drew 05-06-2007, 03:39 PM I have recently updated from c4d 8 to 10. In 8 ,when adding new points there was a clever feature that was default. When you have a point selected and add a new point it would align the new point to that orignally selected point's position on the the cross axis of the view it was being added in. In c4d 10 it addes new points at the 0.0 position regardless. Anyone know if this feature can be activated? I have been tearing apart c4d trying to find it.
Thanks,
David

Yes, what you need to do is turn off the "Construction Plane" option in the Snap Settings part of your move/scale/rotate tools, or in the snap palette (for that you have to turn on snap first before disabling the option unlike in the tools).

I have just tried this method and it still places the points at 0.0

I'm unable to confirm that here, are you using the add points tool or ctrl + clicking to add points with the move/scale/rotate tools?

Ah, I got it. I was using the add new points tool with control + mouse1. When not using the add new points tool and just using the move tool and control + mouse1 it works perfectly. Thanks for the help guys!
