The NAVInote (http://www.navisis.com/ENG/main.htm) is a new pen gizmo which provides mouse, pen and digitizer tablet facilities. ‘NAVInote is a ballpoint pen type input device, which is much handier than ordinary mouse and enables more delicate works than the later [sic] does. With NAVInote, you can write and draw just as you normally do on paper and thus the result looks absolutely natural. In a word, you can create personalized natural-looking letters and documents using NAVInote.’

This product seems quite uniqe!...
you can turn you laptop screen in to a touch screen with the use of this USB driven sensor thingy... but you have to use a special pen... even though.. :D seems cool!

And it only costs: $130 / £69.00 / Euro99.36

I guess im gonna try this out.. and hope that it does what they say it can do... and i hope it does it well...
i wonder how good the sensors are.. and how sensetive it is to fine movements

It seems to have 0.2mm sensitivity (1270 dpi).
Compare that to an intuos which has 5080 dpi resolution...
I couldn't find any infos on pressure sensitivity, so i guess it has none (but i m well ready to stand corrected on this one...).
Definitely doesn't look like a cheap tablet, to me.
Possibly good for people on the move which write a lot...

yeah.. i defenetly dont expect it to be like a good old wacom.. :D
but it seems interesting

i guess it could be good for ... like ugly sketches on the screen.. for example when you animate to get the pose easly laid down... and then refine it with a wacom...
but for me its atleast alot cheaper then if you buy a real touch screen...
but.. its a cheap and i guess rather bad replacement..

but for me it seems interesting enough for me to give it a try..
might just be good to something.. :P

looks really cool actually...woudl prefer to see a ''real'' video of it in action rather than a flash cartoon though.

off topic i know but what's i like in the Faroe Islands?...do you have a good net connection waay out there?...i was looking on google earth last week and spotted the Faroe Islands...looks like a really different place compared to ole blighty! [u.k.]

well it looks cool but it should be hard to use since you can't fold your laptops screen like you do in tablet pc's...and its hard to draw with your arms straight..

Yeah i guess it only works on laptop screens.. not normal flatscreens because laptop screens are thinner

and yeah.. i too would like to see a real video instead of that flash demo

(Off Topic):
we have a kinda sucky net connection.. but its improving .. next year we'll have fiber cables all over the faroes.. and they are also laying a new cable from norway or something to the Faroe Islands :)
and yes.. i can garentee that its different on the faroes compared to the rest of... well.. the world ;)
and when it comes to 3D and stuff... its very new in the faroes.. and ill soon start my own studio there.. as of now there is only one place that does 3D... *and it SUCKs
.. all in all.. for me The Faroe Islands is paradise :D and soon itll be better ;)
