My turn...

Introducing Captain Enoch Lophobia!

Defn- Enochlophobia- fear of people, specifically of crowds!

the problem... Enoch feels it in his bones. He is supposed to rescue the distressed, but finds himself terrified of people, including those who are in distress!...

If (and in the rare occasion) he can get the courage to complete a rescue, he will have to face his nightmare: a crowd of fans and the press!

You can read more about enochlophobia here:
http://www.askmen.com/fashion/body_and_mind_60/60_better_living.html
(but I don't know who in their right mind would want to...:D )

disclaimer... after drawing this draft, I read somewhere that someone is also going for underwear over clothing... I am actually using Don Martin's Captain Klutz as a reference. I forget who is using the same idea, but if you consider it to be too similar, please let me know and I'll go back to the drawing board.

mmh.. the lack of response confirms what I had in my mind...

a) I can't draw (but I knew that already  )

b) the design is very simple and generic... it doesn't really represent the hero... so,

help: I need a little push (more like a shove) in the right direction. What kind of gear would a scardy-superhero have?

a rabbit's foot maybe? mmh... nope. that would be supersticious, not phobic.

I have "writer's" (or designers?) block. some help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Wow good idea!

The drawing though i dont know if it represents him good.

Before i saw the pic i was imagining a big muscle bound hero, terrified of others ofcourse ;)

I would make him look like a real super hero (actually i wouldnt cause i suck lol), big muscles etc, but then find a way to pull out his fear of others in the scene too.

Its a great idea, just need to get a good image of what he needs to look like.

Hmm. It's going to be hard to show fear of people in a still image. Your best bet is look at Monsters Inc, where Sulley first meets Boo.

The problem is, people are going to assume he has a fear of that type of person (nerd, kid, etc) and not just everybody in general.

Maybe a hot reporter trying to coax the big strong hero out from behind a trashcan (where he's hiding) to get an interview? She'll have to look super innocent, though...

Good luck!

PS. maybe you should give him a fear of bunnies or something. :p
