This model has been amended and re-amended over the past few weeks as there were some slight mistakes in the mesh.
Now im happy to say that its fixed and looking much better for it!

the setup is easy. one area light above the car, environment light. then a big curved plane over the roof, with a gradient on it, and two domes, one at the bottom, black, the other above white, to get the horizon line, then various other gradient planes dotted around.
the key is the output in the gradient controls, if you up the output to 5 or more, the whites in the reflection get stronger. So rather than trying to change the paint material, i change the reflections strenghth, i.e the output of the white. it makes the setup much easier to control.
