Hi, I recently joined tablet pc users with a used Acer tablet. I took a full day fixing it and got Win xp sp2 pro on it. I installed all the Acer drivers, and noticed the screen still didn't respond to the stylus. The laptop uses Wacom's penabled panel, and the stylus was designed for it. So I'm stumped. Clues??
Will the digitizer only work with xp Tablet edition then? I checked the hardware pointing devices, and it lists the touchpad and Wacom pen, both devices 'working well'. The touchpad's great, but Wacom's stuff isn't working.
*EDIT: nvmd. I got it working. My graphire2 functions w/o any driver as a mouse, but I guess tablet pcs only work after installing the wacom penabled driver (not on Acer's site...?).
It's drawing well. Now just gotta figure how to have photoshop run on 256mb ram....
Surprisingly, this 900Mhz laptop is almost as responsive as my HP nc8230 1.83Ghz, and boots/standby/shutdown 10x faster than my HP.
Haven't tried the pressure sensitive 256 levels yet, but so far this $250 risk is a nice tablet!!
