View Full Version : Cinema 4D XML Export

I have been looking at several ways to get poly/point selections and bones with bone weights for the vertices out of Cinema 4D to parse into point arrays in Flash. XML can be parsed in actionscript based on simple rules so I looked at the XML export on the head I need full sets of phonemes and facial expressions and some turning and nodding. Under the v6_basedocument node there is a v6_rootobject node with several childNodes. Is the information I need in there?

If that isn't the case then what export format that is text based can I export to to get a list of this point, bone, bone/vertice weighting and selection sets? Is there an easier way to get ahold of this data, such as a COFFEE script for example or Xpresso? Because once I have that info I can plug it in as data sets and not have to load series of mesh files to end up discarding 96% of the data.
