Hi, this is my first entry in the cg challanges

My concept is rather obvios, to me at least so I'm going to post now so no one takes away my concept :P Anyway, the Hero is a gaming addict so instead of saving the world he stays inside and bums around playing computer games and eating snacks.

The final scene I have in my mind and trying to sketch down is him sitting in a sofa playing a some game with a console computer, preferably some Superhero game ;) and in the background through a window you can see something horrible happening, like a building falling, godzilla, nuke going off, or something.

one question, would it be ok if I just used a dvd screencap for the background since it will be blurred anyways?

Sounds good to me, the idea dosen't sound that obvious, go for it.
I'm sure the background would be fine, it's the character that will be judged.

I hope you are going to surround him in empty beer cans and pizza boxes! Want to come and take a pic of my flat for reference? :beer:

then you are one of the lucky ones who dont have to worry about getting hooked in a game when you have to finish something on time ;)

yes, plenty of pizza boxes and soda cans, beer bottles, candy wrappers, and and more! :bounce:

screw that idea, creates a good scene but not a good character so I have come up with a few more ideas

#1
A clean freak who doesnt quite get the meaning of "cleaning the streets", armed with a mop and a bucket

A gamer freak, a console strapped to his back, game controler in his hand and VR glasses infront of his eyes. Impossible to see squat and too busy playing.

A superhero beginner, crappy homemade custume, "Superhero for beginners" book strapped to his belt.

working on more idea, any favorites so far?
