Depends on your point of view I think - that extra 45% in Cinema can make a hell of a difference on a deadline.
If I had a 4-core,I probably wouldn't consider going to the 8-core at all, but for me, going from a dual 2.5Ghz G5 to the 8-core, has given me 4x the speed advantage! :)

The 8 core Mac Pro is indeed a dual quad-core. And the quad core Mac Pro is a dual dual-core.

what I meant was two seperate quad core boxes as opposed to one 8 core box.
