View Full Version : The Hapless Hero - Character - Clanger
Clanger 03-13-2003, 12:36 PM First thought's:
Someone exceptionally clumsy.
Someone with poor eye sight (huge beer bottle glasses)
Someone with no ability to construct a gadget that actually works.
I shall mull this over some more.

Ladies and Gentlemen I present David Spanner as 'Turkey Man'.
Due to an unfortunate accident in the irradiation unit of the local turkey farm David Spanner is compelled to protect and uphold the rights of all things poultry.
This accident however didn't give David any special powers though he thinks he has.
haha i love it :D He looks like THE hero what kind of powers does he think he posess?

Egyt: Basically he thinks he has the lot, I can see I'll have to turn it into a page out of a comic strip, thinking he can fly should be fun.
Edouard: Thanks, we'll see if I can finish properly this time.

Yeh, I think I'm being a little conservative though. I'll see what it looks like in 3D then maybe make it bigger much bigger.
Be afraid, be very afraid.

I think I'm just about done with the modelling of his head (unless anyone out there thinks different) and I'm about to have a go at UV mapping, though not too sure the best way to unwrap with that huge nose.

Nice head.
I think, when you're not going to paint a lot in the nose, you can go with a cilindrical unwrap.
When nose needs better texture, it should be done separately from the rest of the head.
(I think :hmm: )
Also, I think in the front view, the cheeks could go a bit rounder.

Coming along nicely Clanger.Exxagerate as much as possible.Deal with the texture streatching problems later.;)
Perhaps even widen the face a bit in the "X" scale. All in all I like him.I think he is in good hands with you.
It would be interseting to see him in a situation on Thanksgiving day in the States. Perhaps being shot at being taken for a Turkey? Falling off of a roof "thinking" that he can fly?
Have fun Clanger,see you soon.
