hi Yvo,
thanks for the ideas :) much appreciated!
I have looked at your WIP too and it looks better than I ever can do.. :applause: I am not good at modeling humanoids :(
So I am affraid I can not be of much help.. also you are probably using a different 3D tool as well.. so even toolwise I cant help you..

im a max user.. :)
and you dont have to be good to give ideas..
you know how a human looks like..i think hehe.. thats all you need..
you learn from looking at people etc.. how things stick together..
and how you can build it easally;)
but im bla bla ing off topic:)
ow.. maybe your gun can use some cooling system.. think it will get very hot.. some.. heat indicator.. or some pipes or tubes...
that let the heat go away

Looks really cool ... I agree that some more details would give some more interest to it.. maybe some decals/instructions makers marks etc, empty shell casings and some steam/smoke from just being fired and also I like the idea of some kind of complex cooling system, that could really look cool.
Really great start tho, Keep up the good work, Nice to see people showing some cool Realsoft stuff here.

And again a little update: I added a tripod, some surface details, like ventilation holes on top, some glow at the end of the gunbarrels and some empty shells.. so how about it?
The image is 1024*768 :bounce:

Oh.. that's an easy one Ivo. Realsoft3D supports true displacement :) Simply add a bumpmap and set a displacement value for the selected object..
Extrude faces is also an option ;) will do and see how it turns out. Thanks for the advice !
