Title: Candle Light - Lighting Challenge
Name: Juan Carlos Silva
Country: Colombia
Software: Maya, mental ray, Photoshop

This is my submission for the "Candle Light" lighting challenge.
I decided to change the original scene a little bit because almost everyone had done the japanese look, so I thought I'd try something else.

I used a picture my parents had taken in historical costume at a place called "The Venezuela from the day before yesterday".

Lighting-wise, I wanted this piece to be low-key, very much like Caravaggio's old paintings.

All comments are most welcome. Thanks

Beautiful image!!
Great Lightining and texture, but the candle shadow with Flame Shadow(?!?) on the Photo border seems very strange!!
The candle shadow don't exist on this form here and the flame don't cast shadows!!
Looks that light are projected on the candle and not from it!!
Sorry my broken English! (>.<)
