Hi everyone!

This is Sakura one of my favorite characters from the fighting game Street Fighter. I've had a lot of spare time lately so I decided to continue on this piece. I'm getting closer to the finish line but I'd really like your views on this one as I may have gone staring blind, missing some important things or just to get some aesthetic inputs.

What do you think?

- Now I'm quite satisfyed with the face, comming back from a little break from the image.
- Strengthend the lines allover.

I could possibly consider the image finished by now. But I'm thinking of adding some kind of background and might be working a little more on the shading (maybe).

Updated 070523WIP 22 (http://www.joelart.com/forum/sakura/sakura-wip22.jpg)
- Okay the last version of the face was way to strong, I think this is much better now. I'll still need to work on it tough. Sigh! This is a really good practice.http://www.joelart.com/forum/sakura/sakura-wip22.jpg

Updated 070523 WIP 21 (http://www.joelart.com/forum/sakura/sakura-wip21.jpg)
- Seems like I can never stop working on here face, I'm still not 100% satisfied but the fact I dared to add more shapes to the face is good. It's getting closer to the expression and feeling I want to convey.

Updated 070519 WIP 14 (http://www.joelart.com/forum/sakura/sakura-wip14.jpg)
- Re-drew all the lines
- Fixed the shoes
- Worked more on the hair and eyes

Updated 070517 WIP 13 (http://www.joelart.com/forum/sakura/sakura-wip13.jpg)
- Reworked the face, again :) trying to achieve the expression of the feeling i want to convey
- Started to work on the shoes shading and re-inked her left foot.

Updated 070513 WIP 11 (http://www.joelart.com/forum/sakura/sakura-prev11.jpg)
- Resized the right smaler.
- Tonal changes on skin and skirt.

Updated 070511 (http://www.joelart.com/forum/sakura/sakura-prev10.jpg)
- Fixed foreshortening on her arm that was way off.
- Complete new skin tone and shading. Lol I wonder how may times I've repainted the entire skin now :)
- Reworked the eyes somewhat, altered the hair and neck.
Left to do: Finish the legs and shirt and shoes.

Looks nice, got the Street Fighter feel yet with a touch of personal style.

Only thing I can crit is that she's crosseyed and that her pose is a little unbalanced, then again I guess the latter is somewhat in character.

Okay, now I'm pretty satisfied. Mostly what's left is to finish the shoes and skirt. After that some extra detailing and cleaning up.

If anyone have any thing to comment on, now would be a good time.

:)!

Now I'm getting there. The face is near finished and the skirt and shoes is all that's left to finish.

Hi,

Great colours, in fact I think the rather harsh black outline kinda jars and spoils it a little, for me anyway.

pickthall - Thank you! I will look over the lines before i finish it up, that will be the part of the image process.

So how do you like the new colors?

Hi Jelo

very nice ! It really shows your skill at anatomy/caricature. But can you leave the other versions posted so we can watch the changes over time?

There's a link to all the older versions. Or do you mean you want to have them posted here on the site so you can scroll down and see the progress. I think that clutters the thread and slows down the loading of the page. But if that were what you meant I might reconsider.

Now I feel I'm getting close to be finished with her. At this point It's more about adding extra flesh to the background, maybe.

What do you think about here and about a background?!

Is she supposed to look older? Don't know if its the eyebrows or the cheeks that throw me off.

Awesome work though:thumbsup:
