View Full Version : KIDROBOT.COM Model I made yesterday...

A friend of mine emailed me a link to this great site yesterday, and I couldn't help but try and model one of the toys I came across. It was a very good excercise in taking a single 2D frontal image and building it in 3D. In the end I realized that my version didn't look exactly like the Longfour shown at the site, but I felt that this excercise was more about the process of trying to replicate something from 2D. I know the mistakes I made during the building of this model, and I will be aware of this the next time around.

hehe, thats a pretty cool model of the toy, just wish I had enough money to buy some of them :(

thanks...yeah...i know what you mean...they are pretty pricey.

what do you say...let's model them all, set up IK rigs for each of them and sell them on Turbosquid for the same price as the real ones.

This image represents another test where I used an 89 spot light rig to render the image...for the sake of speed...anyway...that's all for now.
