thankyou ibanez head
i was looking for something alittle more free. I understand that an artist's work is important to them, and it is tough to share. even with a poor, poor, poor student just trying to get his foot in the door of this crazy world of computer animation. I was fortunate enough to have one of my class mates let me use the excelent mustang model he made for our model creation class. thanks again for the site anyway

It's good practice to learn how to model out a car.

We had to model out everything in old texturing and lighting projects in school and I really don't think our teacher would have appreciated us not taking the time to create our own scene before texturing and lighting it.

Maybe this guy's teacher told them to go grab a free model real quick to do the project and doesn't care about the set, just the lighting technique...

ibanezhead is right on this one.
our teacher told us not to waste too much time on modeling, we have sepperate classes for modeling. He wants us to concentrate on coming up with our own shader networks, textures, and lighting scheme for this project. So if I were to just download the shaders for it, then i'd be a cheating bastard.

d nice,
I do agree with you that it would be excelent practice, but right now with the workload, stress, and crazy hours of school i wouldnt have the time to model anything half way decent within the time constraints. I will be modeling the garage, tools, and other misc. garage stuff.
