That was really cool, but i don't really understand whats going on, a machine is stabbing the girl(?) and she starts to disintigrate(sp?)...:shrug:

lol yeah thats about it. Unless you want to look for a social comment or two about our society. Really I just wanted to see if I could manage to make a short using mini-dv and maya.

humm, interesting. Is the girl the only non-CG element in the scene? Everything seems to be matched well. The skin comming off the leg seems to be a bit too thin. Also they shot on the eye seemed a little long, I kept waiting for something to happen.

You could take this further and then have the now mechanical girl look at herself and maby have some sort of reaction to the expierence.

Did you end up tracking and keying out all that live footage? The integration of 3D into the plates is well done.
