hello all,
I'm rendering a scene with maya Fur (Maya 7). I'm using a Core 2 Duo 2.4GHz with 2GB RAM. I've used a batch file command to render the files (see below):
render -n 0 -s 1 -e 15 -im po1 -rd d:\projects\maya\kfb_sc_263 porcupine.mb
however, when I render, the processor use shows at only 50% and not 100%. the -n 0 is supposed to be 'use all available processors, right'? Does fur not support multiple CPU rendering?
Also, Ive heard that Maya 8 has better (or faster) rendering than Maya 7 - is this true?
What about fur?
It's too late to move to Joe Alter Hair and Shave!
thanks
