Time is creeping up. But I got this after a couple of hours on the first day.
The steps are a bit crap I think but the rest I think will come together nicely.

Got the 50% done.

Did a few final touches last night before I set about the next stage.
Gonna get rid of the orange highlights and start putting together a composition next.

Here a work in Progress. Still need to work on the roof but I'm start to feel happy with the bottom half of the pic.

Hey this is coming along nicely, interesting critter there :)

nice idea to add that beast, but think you need to make clear what it is. It could be part of the architecture right now.

If I get round to doing the 3d scene at the end og the challenge they will be moving around and therefore it will become clear that they are not part of the architecture.
I perhaps should have applied more of a motion blur to the still.

Getting close to the final thing now. Still a few odds and ends to tidy up. I see a few other people are heading down the same route as me.

My suggestion would be that the water is too still to me it looks like a hardwood floor!....since there is such a big creature splashing about there would be more ripples n splashes happening. I too am almost done with my matte..will post it soon.

Here is what I think might be my final image. I'm open to advice as I'm new to this and I can't see which way to go now.
05-24-2007, 01:38 PM
oops here it is.

hey hey looking good :) I agree about the water movement though. At the base of the waterfalls, water is falling from quite a height and should show more action where it hits the surface of the lake. Also around the critter the water should have more ripples as those tentacles look like they would be in constant movement. Also the Pillar on the right looks like it has an odd curve toward the bottom of it and my perspective skills stink so I can't really say how to correct it. Hope any of this helps and cant' wait to see your final.
