Hmmm...well, I can tell you were trying to do kind of a stylized character. However, I think you could shrink the hands down as well as his neck. It seems like even if you were trying to go for a certain style(anime?), his feet/lower legs would also be exaggerated.
Also, it seems to me like the character is skewing off to the right...I'm not sure about that though
As far as the rendering is concerned, I think the legs could use some more defining. I don't really get the pants? Why are they so crumpled? Maybe that's just me....:D Also, I kind of think you should either leave the line work showing throughout the whole pic or get rid of it completely. You've done a pretty good job of painting out the lines in the costume, but you left the linework visible in the hands and face.
It's a good start...now get to painting that background! :wip:
Hope that helped:beer:

Bah!! And here I was hoping for glowing red eyes and a huge beard!! :p

I definitely agree with the wildsheep about the hands. Also might be good if you made the facial shading smoother, and work on the lighting to make it more consistent and give it some drama. Like the style though!

Tnx for the reply's, I was definitly NOT going for manga, its just the way I draw.
Or did draw, its kinda an old pic (made it after the first LotR movie), but I thought it was a good pic to practise coloring on.

Tnx again:)
