View Full Version : 8.1 Updater cause and solution

Hi all,
finaly we found the problem.
The updater will only work correct when CINEMA 4D Net Server and Client are installed in the same directory as CINEMA 4D. Owners of the XL or Studio Bundle can make it work by installing those two modules. Problems with the SDK will arise nevertheless.

We will provide a new updater as soon as possible.

Ahaa... this might be good news.
So people who don't have the complete set of modules will be able to work with the updated updater.

I knew it wasn't user error ;)

Could you also please ensure that Maxon sort out the twin uninstall entries that occur with this update in the Windows Add/Remove Programs applet and Start menu. Not that effects the running of C4D, but it does look very unproffesional on Maxons part.

Finally thanks for the update Björn, not a great day for any of us. Lets hope you can fix it quickly, and make us all very happy users :) Your presence here is appreciated, even if do get a little bit angry sometimes.
